“L’America sarà presto più grande, più forte e molto più eccezionale di quanto sia mai stata prima”. “Come nel 2017, noi ricostruiremo il più forte esercito che il mondo abbia mai visto”. “Perseguiremo il nostro destino manifesto fino nei cieli, lanciando astronauti americani a piantare la bandiera a stelle e strisce su Marte”. “L’America recupererà il suo giusto posto come la nazione più grande, più potente, più rispettata della terra, quella che ispira nel mondo intero soggezione e ammirazione”. “Andremo a vincere come mai prima d’ora è accaduto” – in queste frasi è condensato il messaggio trumpiano nel suo discorso di insediamento. Un ributtante concentrato di suprematismo yankee, guerrafondaio, razzista, sessista all’ennesima potenza. Inutile dire: con la prevista benedizione del dio di Trump: il Pentadollaro.
Dietro le sue declamazioni, però, c’è la presa d’atto del declino dell’America (ossia: degli Stati Uniti); della “crisi di fiducia” (parole sue) che l’ha colpita; del fatto che i “nostri ragazzi”, cioè il futuro di quella nazione, in “molti casi” arrivano ad “odiare il nostro paese”. Immaginiamo che il grande-uomo-spazzatura non abbia dimenticato la disordinata fuga dall’Afghanistan dell’esercito più potente del mondo dopo la più lunga guerra combattuta dalla sua invincibile nazione, clamorosamente perduta (e non è certo la prima)…
A suo dire, la causa di questo declino è innanzitutto esterna: l’America, “la magnifica America rispettosa della legge” (di cui lui, violatore di qualunque norma scritta e non scritta, è l’emblema) è diventata una discarica di “pericolosi criminali” – gli immigrati provenienti da tutti i paesi del mondo. L’ha infettata una “disastrosa invasione”, ché prima era una società immacolata. E’ tempo, quindi, di una gigantesca pulizia etnica, la più grande deportazione di immigrati della storia statunitense, messa non a caso al primo posto – nella retorica imperialista il nemico da schiacciare è sempre in primo luogo esterno – di “una serie di ordini esecutivi storici”.
Ma c’è anche una causa/colpa interna dell’indiscutibile declino amerikano. Ed è di tutti coloro – “a radical and corrupt establishment” – che hanno minato l’orgoglio della nazione americana, la sua convinzione di essere qualcosa di eccezionale, corrompendola con le ideologie egualitarie, anti-razziste, genderiste, green. Estirperemo queste malattie, ha promesso. Forgeremo una società “incurante del colore della pelle e basata sul merito”, cioè ferocemente bianca e altrettanto ferocemente competitiva. Legge, ordine, massima centralizzazione del potere, e assoluta libertà di spargere menzogne di stato e di mercato (la libertà dei super-padroni dei media suoi sostenitori) per mobilitare fanaticamente la massa di asserviti (tali per loro i cittadini comuni), supporto essenziale delle guerre a venire.
Musk che fa il saluto romano è l’adeguato commento-immagine di questo discorso programmatico.
Nella sua immonda retorica, è stato un discorso abile, da chi si pretende l’“unificatore” della nazione. Con esche lanciate alla minoranza nera (“insieme trasformeremo il sogno di Martin Luther King in realtà”) e ispanica, ai “nostri grandi operai americani dell’auto” (“salveremo la nostra industria dell’auto”), ai “lavoratori e alle famiglie americane” con la promessa: “invece di tassare i nostri cittadini per arricchire altri paesi, imporremo dazi e tasse ai paesi stranieri per arricchire i nostri cittadini”.
La presenza alla cerimonia di incoronazione di Meloni (esclusa l’Unione europea), di Milei e Bolsonaro contiene messaggi altrettanto chiari: l’Amerika di Trump non solo non riconosce l’Unione europea come entità unitaria, ma punta alla sua disfatta, anzitutto a quella della Germania. E quanto al suo “patìo di casa”, vuole governi ultra-reazionari asserviti, se necessario, come ai bei tempi, – perché no? – anche golpisti.
Il “pacificatore” Trump è un incendiario. La sua amministrazione moltiplicherà il caos e la guerra nel mondo. La tregua armata, e assai provvisoria, a Gaza non è frutto della sua azione miracolosa. Si deve alle difficoltà e alla stanchezza dell’esercito sionista, che ha bisogno di riorganizzarsi dopo le pesanti perdite subìte dalla fiera resistenza palestinese. Intanto Trump perdona i coloni ultra-sionisti della Cisgiordania, brutali accaparratori di terre palestinesi. Quella Cisgiordania in cui in questi stessi giorni è in atto un’offensiva congiunta contro i gruppi della resistenza del governo Netanyahu e dell’Anp. E quasi certamente Trump il “pacificatore” ha firmato con il suo amico Netanyahu accordi segreti di sostegno al progetto di ulteriore espansione territoriale di Israele. Grandi interessi immobiliari e strategici amerikano-sionisti sono in ballo.
Con la mazza da baseball invocata dal “pacifista” Roosevelt, Trump semina caos anche tra e contro i suoi stessi alleati. Deve esportare nei loro paesi, necessariamente, il virus della polarizzazione sociale e della riaccensione della lotta di classe per allontanarlo dagli Stati Uniti. Non è possibile, infatti, colpire la Cina senza colpire i propri alleati. Ieri la Corea del Sud, uno dei più fedeli e obbedienti partner degli Stati Uniti, ha deciso di destinare 250 miliardi di dollari al sostegno del proprio export per evitarne il crollo – il paese più veloce di tutti, perché già scosso da una crisi politica senza precedenti. Ma non può finire qui. Subito, infatti, la mosca cocchiera del militarismo europeo Zelensky ha esortato l’ Europa ad armarsi in proprio (se fabbrica armi in Ucraina risparmia, ha aggiunto) e ad unirsi, perché le priorità statunitensi sono nel Pacifico e in Medio Oriente. Teme evidentemente che l’offensiva trumpiana divida l’Europa…
Le precedenti misure protezioniste del Trump-1, poi confermate da Biden, hanno generato inflazione negli Stati Uniti senza riuscire a riportare “a casa” le industrie, né sono riuscite ad invertire la tendenza ad avere un enorme deficit commerciale strutturale che dipende da processi di lungo periodo. Il primo round della guerra commerciale l’ha vinto la Cina. Promettere al tempo stesso dazi altissimi per proteggere l’industria statunitense e abbattimento dell’inflazione, è da bari professionali. L’una misura cancella l’altra, e viceversa. Il rilancio di queste stesse politiche estremizzate, rese ancora più aggressive dall’inefficacia di quelle degli ultimi 8 anni, porterà con sé guerre economiche e finanziarie radicali. Con un prezzo pesantissimo da pagare non solo per il proletariato, anche per consistenti fette di classi medie (parliamo qui dei paesi occidentali).
Quanto all’attitudine verso i paesi dominati e controllati, basti quel che ha preannunciato a Panama, Messico e Venezuela, e la certezza che la sua devastante politica di “We will drill, baby, drill” – “Perforare, belli, perforare”, acuirà la crisi climatica che già colpisce più duro nel Sud del mondo.
Il fascio-suprematismo trumpiano ha, però, un rovescio della medaglia. Accende su più lati il conflitto sociale. Sotto il Trump-1 sono nati negli Stati Uniti il movimento del femminismo del 99% replicando a Nord al più radicale “Ni una de menos” argentino, il movimento Black Lives Matter, e le proteste, specie a New York, dei Fridays for future. Dopo il Trump 1, sotto la spinta dell’inflazione generata sia dalle sue politiche che dall’ “emergenza Covid”, ci sono stati importanti scioperi, quali non se ne vedevano da molti anni, nei settori dell’auto, della sanità e dei porti proprio per recuperare la capacità d’acquisto persa.
In campo capitalistico il Trump-1, proseguito da Biden, ha avuto l’effetto di accelerare la costruzione dei Brics e poi l’allargamento dei Brics, ha rinsaldato il rapporto Cina-Russia-Iran, ha spinto storici alleati come la Turchia e l’Arabia saudita a riposizionarsi, ha – specie nell’ultimo anno con la totale complicità con il genocidio sionista a Gaza, che Trump di sicuro confermerà – fatto perdere molti punti di credito politico a Washington in tutto il mondo. Il recupero è affidato, fondamentalmente, al bastone. Ai dazi, alle sanzioni, all’incremento obbligatorio delle spese belliche, agli acquisti coatti di energia e armi statunitensi, all’arraffare i capitali e i risparmi di tutto il mondo attraverso un dollaro forte e alti tassi di interesse… altrimenti, come potrebbe l’Amerika, così in declino e tormentata da ogni genere di patologia sociale (per questo poco fiduciosa in sé stessa nelle masse lavoratrici della popolazione), tornare “great again”?
Quando diciamo “Prendere Trump sul serio”, intendiamo: prepariamoci a scontri di classe di moltiplicata intensità. Qui e dovunque. Rafforziamo la denuncia e la mobilitazione contro la corsa alla guerra globale che sotto Trump-2 conoscerà un’accelerazione. La partita è aperta. Del resto, il nuovo Reich millenario a stelle e strisce annunciato da Donald-2 si è aperto con l’esplosione del razzo Starship di SpaceX… il caso ci strizza l’occhio.
Rilanciamo la lotta contro la “nostra” trumpista, invitata d’onore a Washington, il governo delle destre, la UE, la NATO, compagne/i. Lavoriamo a convincere quanti più lavoratori, lavoratrici, giovani possibile che non c’è alcun capitalismo alternativo, buono, multipolare, che può salvarci dall’apocalisse globale annunciata dagli Stati Uniti d’America di Trump&Musk. Mentre Trump giurava sulla Bibbia, il suo presunto antagonista Putin celebrava religiosamente l’Epifania ortodossa facendo un bagno, secondo tradizione, nelle acque gelate… Chi ricerca la salvezza nella classe dominante di Russia, Cina e Iran (la stessa che domina in Amerika) anziché nelle forze unite delle masse proletarie e degli oppressi del mondo, è preda di una perniciosa illusione. Oppure, ne conosciamo, è un lestofante.
Trump’s fascist-supremacism and its consequences
“America will soon be greater, stronger and far more exceptional than ever before”; “Like in 2017, we will again build the strongest military the world has ever seen”; “And we will pursue our manifest destiny into the stars, launching American astronauts to plant the stars ans stripes on the planet Mars”; “America will reclaim its rightful place as the greatest, most powerful, most respected nation on earth, inspiring the awe and admiration of the entire world”; “We are going to win like never before”. These phrases condense the Trumpian message in his inauguration speech. A repulsive concentration of Yankee supremacism, warmongering, racism, sexism to the nth degree. Needless to say: with the expected blessing of Trump’s god: the Pentadollar.
Behind his declamation, however, there is the acknowledgment of the decline of America (that is: of the United States); of the “crisis of confidence” (his words) that hit it; of the fact that “our children”, that is, the future of that nation, in “many cases” come to “hate our country”. Let’s imagine that the big-garbage-man has not forgotten the disorderly flight from Afghanistan of the most powerful army in the world after the longest war fought by his invincible nation, sensationally lost (and it is certainly not the first)…
According to him, the cause of this decline is first and foremost external: America, “the magnificent law-abiding America” (of which he, a violator of all written and unwritten norms, is the emblem) has become a dumping ground for “dangerous criminals” – immigrants from all over the world. It has been infected by a “disastrous invasion”, because before it was an immaculate society. It is time, therefore, for a gigantic ethnic cleansing, the largest deportation of immigrants in American history, not surprisingly put in the first place of “a series of historic executive orders” – – in imperialist rhetoric the first enemy to be crushed is always external.
But there is also an internal cause/blame for the indisputable Amerikan decline. And it is of all those – “a radical and corrupt establishment” – who have undermined the pride of the American nation, its conviction of being something exceptional, corrupting it with egalitarian, anti-racist, genderist, green ideologies. We will eradicate these diseases, he promised. We will forge a society that is “colorblind and merit-based,” that is, fiercely white and just as fiercely competitive. Law, order, maximum centralization of power, and absolute freedom to spread state and market lies (the freedom of the super-masters of the media who support him) to fanatically mobilize the mass of enslaved (such are, for them, ordinary citizens), essential support of the wars to come.
Musk making the Roman salute is the appropriate commentary-image of Trump’s programmatic speech.
In its filthy rhetoric, he did a skilful speech, claiming to be the “unifier” of the nation. With baits thrown at the black minority (“we will strive together to make Martin Luther King’s dream a reality”) and Hispanic, to “our great American auto workers” (“we will revoke the electric vehicle mandate, saving our auto industry”), to “American workers and families” with the promise: “instead of taxing our citizens to enrich other countries, we will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens”.
The presence at the coronation ceremony of Meloni (excluding the European Union), Milei and Bolsonaro contains equally clear messages: Trump’s Amerika not only does not recognize the European Union as a unitary entity, but aims for its defeat, first and foremost that of Germany. And as for its “home courtyard”, he wants ultra-reactionary governments subservient, if necessary, as in the good old days – why not? – even through military coups.
The “peacemaker” Trump is an arsonist. His administration will multiply chaos and war in the world. The armed truce, and a very provisional one, in Gaza is not the result of his miraculous action. It is due to the difficulties and fatigue of the Zionist army, which needs to reorganize itself after the heavy losses suffered by the fierce Palestinian resistance. Meanwhile, Trump pardons the ultra-Zionist settlers of the West Bank, brutal grabbers of Palestinian land. That West Bank in which a joint offensive is underway in these same days against the resistance groups by the Netanyahu government and the PNA. And Trump the “peacemaker” has almost certainly signed secret agreements with his friend Netanyahu in support of Israel’s project of further territorial expansion. Large Amerikan-Zionist real estate and strategic interests are at stake.
With the baseball bat invoked by the “pacifist” Roosevelt, Trump sows chaos even among and against his own allies. It must necessarily export to their countries the virus of social polarization and the rekindling of the class struggle to distance it from the United States. It is not possible, in fact, to hit China without hitting one’s allies. Yesterday, South Korea, one of the most loyal and obedient partners of the United States, decided to allocate 250 billion dollars to support its exports to avoid their collapse – the fastest country of all, because it is already shaken by an unprecedented political crisis. But it can’t end there. Immediately, in fact, the charioteer of European militarism Zelensky urged Europe to arm itself (if the EU manufactures weapons in Ukraine it saves money, he added) and to unite, because US priorities are in the Pacific and the Middle East. He evidently fears that the Trumpian offensive will divide Europe…
The previous protectionist measures of Trump-1, later confirmed by Biden, have generated inflation in the United States without being able to bring industries “home”, nor have they managed to reverse the trend of having a huge structural trade deficit that depends on long-term processes. The first round of the trade war was won by China. Promising at the same time very high tariffs to protect US industry and bring down inflation is professional cheating. One measure cancels out the other, and vice versa. The revival of these same extreme policies, made even more aggressive by the ineffectiveness of those of the last 8 years, will bring with it radical economic and financial wars. With a very heavy price to pay not only for the proletariat, but also for substantial slices of the middle classes (we are talking here about Western countries).
As for the attitude towards dominated and controlled countries, it is enough what he announced towards Panama, Mexico and Venezuela, and the certainty that his devastating policy of “We will drill, baby, drill” will exacerbate the climate crisis that is already hitting the hardest in the South of the world.
Trump’s fascist-supremacism has, however, a reverse. It ignites social conflict on several sides. Under Trump-1, the feminism movement of the 99% was born in the United States, replicating in the North the more radical Argentinian “Ni una de menos”, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the protests, especially in New York, of Fridays for Future. After Trump 1, under the pressure of inflation generated both by his policies and by the “Covid emergency”, there were major strikes, the likes of which had not been seen for many years, in the automotive, healthcare and port sectors precisely to recover the lost purchasing power.
In the capitalist field, Trump-1, continued by Biden, has had the effect of accelerating the construction and then the enlargement of the BRICS; it has strengthened the China-Russia-Iran relationship; it has pushed historic allies such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia to reposition themselves; it has – especially in the last year with total complicity with the Zionist genocide in Gaza, which Trump will certainly confirm – has caused Washington to lose many points of political credit around the world.
Recovery is entrusted, basically, to the cane. Tariffs, sanctions, the mandatory increase in war spending, the forced purchases of US energy and weapons, the grabbing of the world’s capital and savings through a strong dollar and high interest rates… otherwise, how could Amerika, so in decline and tormented by all kinds of social pathologies (for this reason not very confident in itself in the working masses of the population), become “great again” again?
When we say “Take Trump seriously,” we mean: let’s prepare for class clashes of multiplied intensity. Here and everywhere. Let’s strengthen the denunciation and mobilization against the race for global war that under Trump-2 will accelerate. The game is open. After all, the new thousand-year American Reich announced by Donald-2 opened with the explosion of Space X’s Starship rocket… The case winks at us.
Let’s relaunch the fight against “our” Trumpist (Meloni), invited of honor to Washington, the government of the right, the EU, NATO, comrades. We are working to convince as many workers and young people as possible that there is no alternative, good, multi-polar capitalism that can save us from the global apocalypse announced by the United States of America of Trump & Musk. While Trump swore on the Bible, his alleged antagonist Putin religiously celebrated the Orthodox Epiphany by taking a bath, according to tradition, in the icy waters… Those who seek salvation in the ruling class of Russia, China and Iran (the same one that dominates in America) rather than in the united forces of the proletarian masses and the oppressed of the world, are prey to a pernicious illusion. Or, we know some of them, they are swindlers.
