L’aggressione sionista-statunitense ai siti nucleari iraniani e ai vertici delle forze armate iraniane è un drammatico sviluppo della situazione medio-orientale e internazionale.
In preda alla criminale ossessione colonialista di “ridisegnare” l’intero Medio Oriente sotto il segno della stella di Davide e della bandiera a stelle e strisce, con le masse sfruttate e i popoli dell’area definitivamente sotto il loro tallone di ferro, l’asse Washington-Tel Aviv ha aperto un nuovo fronte di guerra. Questo fa compiere alla corsa verso una nuova guerra globale di portata apocalittica un ulteriore, drammatico scatto in avanti.
Ad aprire le porte all’aggressione di queste ore è stata l’Agenzia internazionale per l’energia atomica (Aiea) votando una risoluzione in cui condanna l’Iran per avere “violato i suoi obblighi” in materia di arricchimento dell’uranio. Ancora una volta, gli stati europei si sono allineati ai diktat di Israele-Stati Uniti, che pretendono dettare obblighi per tutti gli altri stati, mentre violano impunemente, da sempre, tutte le regole che gli altri debbono rispettare – pena bombardamenti, embarghi, morte e distruzione.
Sembra che in questo attacco siano coinvolti diversi paesi arabi, ed è certo che si è formata una vasta coalizione per pattugliare i cieli a protezione dello stato occupante la terra di Palestina. Naturalmente ci sono anche gli aerei militari italiani, di quell’Italia che dice di volere la pace, ma ha messo le sue zampe insanguinate in tutte, proprio tutte, le guerre della NATO e del fronte imperialista occidentale degli ultimi 80 anni.
La prima cosa da gridare ovunque nelle piazze è: giù le mani dall’Iran, dalla Palestina, dal Medio Oriente, gangster democratici di Israele, Stati Uniti, Italia, Unione europea! Noi siamo schierati incondizionatamente dalla parte delle masse sfruttate e dei popoli aggrediti di Iran, Palestina e dell’intero Medio Oriente. Saremo solidali con la risposta di lotta anti-imperialista che da essi verrà, e faremo qui il possibile per moltiplicarne l’impatto.
Gli imperialismi occidentali hanno un conto aperto con il popolo iraniano dal 1979, quando una formidabile insurrezione popolare fece crollare il regime dello Scià Reza Palhavi, grande amico dell’Occidente e dello stato sionista. Allora la Francia accompagnò l’ayatollah Khomeini alla presa del potere in Iran perché contenesse e sedasse l’insurrezione, insieme con i suoi compari del PRI. Negli anni successivi, il regime islamista fu libero di sequestrare abilmente il moto rivoluzionario, e poi schiacciarne nel sangue le avanguardie rivoluzionarie, disperdendone una parte nell’esilio. Poi, nei decenni successivi ha cercato di usarne l’insegna attraverso un’accorta demagogia istituzionale per espandere la propria area di influenza nella regione. E arrivare – su questa base – ad un appeasement con Stati Uniti ed Europa.
Una prima tappa di questo percorso è stato l’accordo raggiunto nel 2015, ai tempi di Obama, tra Teheran e il cosiddetto quintetto (Stati Uniti, Gran Bretagna, Francia, Germania, Cina).
Ma le tappe successive di questo percorso si sono scontrate da un lato con le insaziabili pretese statunitenti-sioniste-occidentali, dall’altro con la potenza dei sentimenti di ostilità che provano le masse oppresse e sfruttate della regione verso il regime sionista e gli imperialisti statunitensi-europei. Stretto in questa tenaglia, il regime degli ayatollah non è riuscito a portare a termine quella ricucitura con l’Occidente che ha più volte tentato, con Rafsanjani, con Khatami, con Moussavi, e ora con Pezeshkian.
L’azione del 7 ottobre – non a caso sconsigliata da Teheran – e la straordinaria resistenza di Gaza, ridando vigore in tutta l’area alle mobilitazioni popolari a sostegno del popolo palestinese e alla resistenza armata anti-sionista, massimamente dal Libano e dallo Yemen, ne sono state il colpo di grazia.
D’altra parte, le sanzioni comminate all’Iran dalla prima amministrazione Trump per rompere, a danno sia dell’Iran sia dell’Europa, la trama dei rapporti commerciali e diplomatici in costruzione tra Teheran e alcuni paesi europei, sanzioni poi confermate dall’amministrazione Biden, hanno avuto l’effetto di spingere l’Iran verso l’intensificazione dei rapporti con Russia e Cina, il che ha dato all’asse Washington – Tel Aviv un ulteriore motivo di natura geo-politica per questa aggressione.
Nonostante ciò, negli scorsi mesi la nuova presidenza dell’Iran ha fatto ogni sforzo per arrivare ad un qualche accordo con i brutali sceriffi di Washington, alla ricerca di una normalizzazione che gli consentisse di affrontare l’enorme malessere operaio, popolare, sociale, esploso a ripetizione nello scorso decennio in rivolte e scioperi contro un regime che, al di là della sua retorica “pro-mostazafin” sempre più vuota, è e resta al servizio del capitalismo nazionale e delle classi possidenti.
Niente da fare.
Non è servita neppure nelle ultime settimane la presa di distanze di Teheran dalle coraggiose iniziative yemenite. Le pretese sioniste-occidentali sul Medio Oriente sono illimitate! Tanto più illimitate quanto più il resto del mondo, a cominciare dall’Asia, gli sta sfuggendo di mano. Tanto più illimitate, quanto più crescono la forza e l’ambito di influenza della nuova super-potenza cinese e di altre potenze capitalistiche emergenti. Non a caso questi sono i giorni degli infuocati discorsi bellicisti del ministro del Pentagono, relativi alla Cina, alla Groenlandia, a Panama, mentre l’ambasciatore statunitense in Israele afferma che gli abitanti di Gaza vanno deportati in massa e la Cisgiordania va annessa da Israele.
Incapace di ottenere la resa dei palestinesi, nonostante il genocidio; alle prese con crescenti contraddizioni economiche e sociali che lo stanno spingendo sull’orlo dell’abisso; attaccando a fondo l’Iran, il regime sionista ha deliberato di estendere ulteriormente la sua sporca guerra coloniale, religiosa, suprematista, imperialista a tutti i popoli dell’area. Ed ancora una volta – checché si dica – l’intero Occidente è dalla sua parte. Perché lo stato di Israele è davvero, e fin dall’inizio, non il sicuro ricovero degli ebrei perseguitati in Europa, ma l’avamposto dell’intera macchina di distruzione e morte dell’imperialismo occidentale.
L’illusione che guida l’asse sionista-statunitense è quello di poter vincere la guerra ai popoli del Medio Oriente. Invece questa nuova aggressione avvicina la fine del regime sionista e del dominio occidentale sul Medio Oriente. Perché renderà ancora più chiaro alle classi lavoratrici di Egitto, Giordania, Libano, Tunisia, Marocco, Arabia saudita, etc., che i rispettivi regimi sono schierati a difesa degli assassini dei loro fratelli e sorelle palestinesi, o sono comunque loro complici.
Questa nuova guerra avvicinerà la loro resa dei conti con le borghesie arabe reazionarie, necessaria perché finalmente esploda quella guerra unitaria di liberazione anti-coloniale, anti-imperialista di tutte le masse oppresse e sfruttate del Medio Oriente per rovesciare il regime di coloro che credono di avere ricevuto da Jahvè, dal dio-dollaro o dalla NATO l’eterno diritto di dominare in Palestina, in Medio Oriente e ovunque.
Quanto all’Iran, sarebbe davvero una tragedia nella tragedia se i tantissimi e le tantissime iraniani che hanno dovuto subìre l’oppressione del regime degli ayatollah si aspettassero la loro liberazione dai rapinatori dell’Occidente – come fanno i privilegiati seguaci dei vecchi re autocrati e assassini ed altri sciagurati. La sola possibilità che questa liberazione avvenga è in un nuovo protagonismo di massa che sappia legare l’indispensabile risposta immediata a questa nuova inaudita aggressione, alla liberazione dalle catene del capitalismo, che è prosperato in Iran prima all’ombra dello Scià, e poi a quella degli ayatollah, sempre imponendo terribili sacrifici e spietata repressione a quanti/e vivono del proprio lavoro.
Quanto a noi, ora più che mai, il nostro nemico è qui, in Italia. E non è solo il governo Meloni, totalmente interno all’asse sionista-occidentale che sta seminando guerra e morte ovunque, e brama di poterla seminare di nuovo su grande scala in Russia, sulle orme del nazismo. Il nostro nemico è il capitalismo italiano, lo stato democratico italiano, complici di questa nuova aggressione, che si apprestano a varare un riarmo illimitato, l’economia di guerra, la militarizzazione della società nel sogno di poter riconquistare, su montagne di cadaveri, il posto al sole che il regime di Mussolini promise – e si è visto com’è finita.
Quali che siano gli ulteriori sviluppi, bisogna rilanciare con la massima determinazione la lotta contro la corsa al riarmo, all’economia di guerra, alla guerra, per l’immediato ritiro delle missioni italiane in Medio Oriente e all’estero, per la rottura immediata di tutte le relazioni militari, culturali, economiche con lo stato sionista, per lo scioglimento della NATO.
Giù le mani dall’Iran, dalla Palestina, dal Medio Oriente, gangster di Israele, Stati Uniti, Europa!
Facciamo dello sciopero del prossimo 20 giugno indetto dal sindacalismo di base un momento di diffusione di queste parole d’ordine nella classe operaia e a livello di massa, di allargamento della mobilitazione contro le guerre del capitale.
Facciamo della Conferenza internazionale di Napoli del 14-15 giugno un momento di ancor più stretto coordinamento tra le organizzazioni internazionaliste rivoluzionarie determinate a battersi contro questo corso delle cose.

Hands off Iran, Palestine, the Middle East,
gangsters from Israel, the United States, Europe!
The U.S.-Zionist aggression against Iranian nuclear sites and the top brass of the Iranian armed forces is a dramatic development of the Middle East and international situation.
In the grip of the criminal colonialist obsession with “redesigning” the entire Middle East under the sign of the Star of David and the Stars and Stripes flag, with the exploited masses and the peoples of the area definitively under their iron heel, the Washington-Tel Aviv axis has opened a new war front. This makes the race towards a new global war of apocalyptic proportions take a further, dramatic leap forward.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) facilitated this aggression by voting for a resolution that condemns Iran for having “violated its obligations” regarding uranium enrichment. Once again, European states have aligned themselves with the dictates of Israel and the United States, which demand to impose obligations on all other states while violating all the rules that others must respect with impunity – under penalty of bombings, embargoes, death, and destruction.
It seems that several Arab countries are involved in this attack, while it is certain that a vast coalition has formed to patrol the skies in protection of the occupying state of Palestine. Naturally, there are also the Italian military aircraft, from that Italy that claims to want peace, but has bloodied its hands in all, absolutely all, the wars of NATO and the Western imperialist front over the last 80 years.
The first thing to shout everywhere in the streets is: hands off Iran, Palestine and the Middle East, democratic gangsters from Israel, the United States, Italy, the European Union! We are unconditionally on the side of the exploited masses and the attacked peoples of Iran, Palestine and the entire Middle East. We will stand in solidarity with the response of anti-imperialist struggle that will come from them, and we will do everything possible here to multiply their impact.
Western imperialisms have had an open account with the Iranian people since 1979, when a formidable popular uprising brought down the regime of Shah Reza Palhevi, a great friend of the West and the Zionist state. Then France accompanied Ayatollah Khomeini to the seizure of power in Iran so that he could contain and quell the insurrection, together with his cronies in the PRI.
In the following years, the Islamist regime was free to skillfully seize the revolutionary movement, and then crush its revolutionary vanguards in blood, dispersing some of them into exile. In the subsequent decades, it then sought to use the banner of the “islamic revolution” through cautious institutional demagoguery to expand its area of influence in the region. And to try to reach – on this basis – an appeasement with the United States and Europe.
A first step in this process was the agreement reached in 2015, during the Obama era, between Tehran and the so-called quintet (United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, China).
But the subsequent stages of this path have encountered two obstacles: on one side, the insatiable demands of the United States-Zionist-Western alliance, and on the other, the strength of the feelings of hostility that the oppressed and exploited masses of the region have towards the Zionist regime and the U.S.-European imperialists. Caught in this vice, the ayatollahs regime has not been able to achieve that reconciliation with the West that it has attempted several times, with Rafsanjani, with Khatami, with Moussavi, and now with Pezeshkian.
The actions of October 7 – not coincidentally advised against by Tehran – and the extraordinary resistance of Gaza, revitalizing popular mobilizations across the area in support of the Palestinian people, and the armed anti-Zionist resistance, especially from Lebanon and Yemen, have dealt the final blow.
The sanctions imposed on Iran by the Trump administration to break the web of trade and diplomatic relations being built between Tehran and some European countries, to the detriment of both Iran and Europe, sanctions later confirmed by the Biden administration, had the effect of pushing Iran towards intensifying relations with Russia and China, which gave the Washington-Tel Aviv axis an additional geopolitical reason for this aggression.
Despite this, in recent months the new presidency of Iran has made every effort to reach some agreement with the brutal sheriffs of Washington, seeking a normalization that would allow it to address the enormous worker, popular, and social discontent that has repeatedly exploded over the past decade in riots and strikes against a regime that, beyond its increasingly empty “pro-mustazafin” rhetoric, is and remains at the service of national capitalism and the owning classes.
Nothing to do.
Tehran’s distancing from Yemen’s courageous initiatives has not helped in recent weeks either. The Zionist-Western claims on the Middle East are limitless! All the more unlimited the more the rest of the world, starting with Asia, is getting out of hand. The more unlimited, the more the strength and scope of influence of the new Chinese super-power and other emerging capitalist powers grow. It is no coincidence that these are the days of the Pentagon minister’s fiery warmongering speeches about China, Greenland, Panama, while the US ambassador to Israel says that the inhabitants of Gaza must be deported en masse and the West Bank must be annexed by Israel.
Unable to obtain the surrender of the Palestinians, despite the genocide; grappling with growing economic and social contradictions that are pushing it to the edge of the abyss; the Zionist regime, by attacking Iran thoroughly, has resolved to further extend its dirty colonial, religious, supremacist, imperialist war. And once again – whatever people say – the entire West is on his side. Because the state of Israel is really, from the beginning, not the safe haven of persecuted Jews in Europe, but the outpost of the entire machine of destruction and death of Western imperialism.
The illusion that guides the Zionist-American axis is that it can win the war on the peoples of the Middle East. Instead, this new aggression brings the end of the Zionist regime and Western domination on the Middle East closer. Because it will make it even clearer to the working classes of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, etc., that their respective regimes are lined up in defense of the murderers of their Palestinian brothers and sisters, or are otherwise complicit in them.
This new war will bring closer their showdown with the reactionary Arab bourgeoisies necessary for the explosion of that united anti-colonial, anti-imperialist war of liberation of all the oppressed and exploited masses of the Middle East to overthrow the regime of those who believe they have received from Yahweh, from the god-dollar or from NATO the eternal right to dominate in Palestine, in the Middle East and everywhere.
As for Iran, it would indeed be a tragedy within a tragedy if the many Iranians who have had to suffer the oppression of the ayatollahs’ regime were to expect their release from the robbers of the West – as do the privileged followers of the old autocratic and murderous kings and other wretches. The only possibility that this liberation will take place is in a new mass protagonism that knows how to link the indispensable immediate response to this new unprecedented aggression, to the liberation from the chains of capitalism, which has prospered in Iran first in the shadow of the Shah, and then in that of the ayatollahs, always imposing terrible sacrifices and ruthless repression on those who live from their work.
As for us, now more than ever, our enemy is here, in Italy. And it is not only the Meloni government, totally within the Zionist-Western axis that is sowing war and death everywhere, and yearns to be able to sow it again on a large scale in Russia, in the footsteps of Nazism. Our enemy is Italian capitalism, the Italian state, accomplices of this new aggression, which are preparing to launch an unlimited rearmament, a war economy, a militarization of society in the dream of being able to regain, on mountains of corpses, the place in the sun that Mussolini’s regime promised – and we have seen how it ended.
Whatever the further developments, it is necessary to relaunch with the utmost determination the struggle against the arms race, the war economy, the war, for the immediate withdrawal of Italian missions in the Middle East and abroad, for the immediate rupture of all military, cultural and economic relations with the Zionist state, for the dissolution of NATO.

Let’s make the strike on June 20th called by grassroot trade unionism a moment to spread these slogans within the working class and at the mass level, to broaden the mobilization against the wars of capital.
Let’s make the International Conference in Naples on June 14-15 a moment of even tighter coordination among revolutionary internationalist organizations determined to fight against this course of events.
